**ADULT MEAL PRICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2022

With recent guidance provided by FNS (Food Nutrition Service) and Regional office, School Food Authorities’ have until January 2022 to Adjust their Adult prices to meet the statewide minimum adult meal price and submit documentation to verify the requirement is met.

Breakfasts and lunches served to teachers, administrators, custodians and other adults must be priced so that the adult payment in combination with any per-lunch revenues from other sources designated specifically for the support of adult meals sufficient to cover the overall cost of the lunch. Including the value of any USDA entitlement and bonus donated foods used to prepare the meal.

During the December Board Meeting, it was passed to increase our Adult Breakfast price to $2.75 and the Adult Lunch price to $4.75 in order to meet the Regulation Requirements.

These new meal prices will be in effect as of January 2022.

Pendleton County School District is seeking ideas on School Nutrition and Wellness feedback on the School Nutrition and Wellness policy. This report is provided in compliance with KRS 158.856 as an overview of the nutrition and physical activity available in the Pendleton County School system with the recommendation for areas of improvement. The Board will review any recommendations offered by the general public in developing a plan to be implemented in the 2022-23 school year. Please review the Report under the wellness tab and provide any comments or recommendations to the Pendleton County Schools Food Service Director, Lisa Mitchell at lisa.mitchell@pendleton.kyschools.us
