Registration for the SpecTECHular PD Academy

Please click here to register for the PD Academy that will be held at PHS on Wednesday, August 6 from 8-3:30.  (Certified Staff ONLY unless requested by your principal)

You MUST register for three choices for each of the six sessions.  All sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

New Student Registration - July 30

New Student Registration is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Student Services office, 6762 Hwy 27 N., Butler, KY 41006.  If this date is not convenient, please call 859-654-4981 to set up another time for registration. 

Transportation Department Announces 2014-15 Bus Routes

The Transportation Department is working diligently to organize bus routes so that students' travel times are held to a minimal.   Click here to view 2014-15 Bus Route (by road). Parents are urged to check back occasionally for any changes or updates.  For additional transportation information, click the Transportation tab under Student Services.

Watch for Student Supply Lists!!

The schools are busy preparing their buildings for the first day of school as well as teachers getting their rooms ready and preparing supply lists. Supply lists may be accessed from the individual school's webpage or the individual teacher's page.  Check back as often as you like, as lists are being posted daily.

School Board Adds Student Representative

At the April 17, 2014 Board of Education meeting, board members approved the second reading of Policy 01.1 which allows one Student Board Representative to set on the board.  Following the election process, Ms. Courtney Moore was chosen as Pendleton County Board of Education's first  Student Representative. Her first board meeting was Monday, June 16.  Congratulations to Courtney!

Summer Learning in Pendleton County Schools

Our community offers summer academic learning and enrichment programs that provide hands-on, engaging programs preparing all children to be successful in school and community. Each of our schools are providing summer learning opportunities for our students.  Call your school to learn more about the specific programs coming to Pendleton County Schools this summer!

2014 Wall of Fame Inductee ~ Lt Col. Robbin Higgins

In 1993 Pendleton County Schools inducted the first Wall of Fame recipient.  Since that time it has become a part of the graduation ceremony to introduce the new inductees each year.  The criteria for this award is to be a graduate of a high school in Pendleton County and to have gone above and beyond in their career to show service to their community or fellow man.  This year’s recipient goes above and beyond this criteria. 

Senior Awards Night Showcases Successful Local Scholarship Program

Senior Awards/Local Scholarship Night was held Friday, May 23, 2014 in the PHS Auditorium.  Pendleton County High School is very appreciative of the community support of the local scholarship program.  For a complete list of local scholarships and 2014 recipients, click "Read More".

SES Honors Retirees

Lynn Orr, Kim Simpson and Jenny Wright were recently honored at Southern Elementary School at a retirement open house which was hosted on Monday, May 19, 2014.  Each retiree has contributed a great deal to our school system and dedicated their lives to working with children.  Their service in the Pendleton County School District is greatly appreciated.  Good luck, and enjoy your retirement!

PHS Student McKenzie Florence LAL Honorable Mention

The Kentucky Department of Education announced the Kentucky winners in the 2014 national Letters About Literature (LAL) annual writing contest.  Among those named was PHS student McKenzie Florence.  McKenzie received Honorable Mention on her literature piece.  Congratulations, McKenzie!
