KCSS Seeking Nominations for Outstanding Social Studies Teacher

Kentucky Council for Social Studies (KCSS) is accepting nominations for Outstanding Social Studies Teacher. Administrators, parents, colleagues, students, former students, and community members are encouraged to nominate an Outstanding Social Studies Teacher. Summer Hours at the Schools and District Office

Starting Tuesday, May 30 thru July 28 summer hours in the schools and district office will be observed.  Office hours are 8:00-3:30 during this time. Schools will be closed June 25 - July 7, however, central office will be open during this time except for July 3 and 4.


STEM Days Out (Grades 6-8) STEM Day Out
Interested in introducing your Middle School Student to STEM careers? STEM Day Out is a FREE experiential learning opportunity for students across Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati! This program is designed to promote interest in STEM careers (science, technology, engineering & math). The workshop will allow for personal and in-depth career exploration. The students will learn about STEM careers first-hand by touring and visiting a local company. Host locations Include: Celanese, Gateway, General Cable,  KLH Engineering, Loreal, Cincinnati Childrens, Fidelity, Innovation Network, Safran, MAZAK, Northern Kentucky University, St. Elizabeth at Thomas More. MSU "Go for Launch!" Summer Program Go For Launch

Go For Launch! is a 4-day residential camp, from July 24-28, that uses space exploration as a platform to launch student involvement in STEM, STEAM, teamwork, communication and leadership. Go for Launch! is open to male or female students who are entering 8th, 9th or 10th grade. This year’s camp will feature sessions with astronaut Don Thomas.  Student teams will work together on collaborative activities over the four days to define and design their own space experiment and present their ideas to a panel of judges from the Space and STEM fields.
