MSU "Go for Launch!" Summer Program Go For Launch

Go For Launch! is a 4-day residential camp, from July 24-28, that uses space exploration as a platform to launch student involvement in STEM, STEAM, teamwork, communication and leadership. Go for Launch! is open to male or female students who are entering 8th, 9th or 10th grade. This year’s camp will feature sessions with astronaut Don Thomas.  Student teams will work together on collaborative activities over the four days to define and design their own space experiment and present their ideas to a panel of judges from the Space and STEM fields. NKU CINSAM Summer Camps Cinsam

CINSAM hosts a variety of camps each summer for students from 3rd - 12th grade! Their summer camps are hosted by NKU faculty and staff on topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.  Registration for the 2017 Summer Camp series is now open!  Click here for more information. 


21st Century "Dream Big" Summer Camp 21st Century Program

SMS 21st Century program will host “Dream Big” summer camp May 30th-June 8th from 8a-3p.  The program is FREE & open to the first 50 registered.  Transportation and food provided.  Certified staff will provide Reading & Math activities with Enrichments including: STEM, Legos, sports,Take Apart Tuesday.  Field trips to: Cincinnati Zoo, NKU, Gateway Technical College, and Pendleton’s Judicial Center.    If interested contact Jordan Woodruff or Mariah Elrod at Phone: 859-496-2920  Email: Jordan.woodruff@pendleton.kyschools.us


MSU Craft Academy Visit Days MSU Craft Academy

Morehead State University's Craft Academy has scheduled two new Visit Days during the spring semester: April 29, July 29. Craft Academy Visit Days are for students, sophomore level and below, who are interested in Craft to visit Morehead State University’s beautiful campus, see a Craft Academy presentation, meet Craft staff and current Craft students, take a tour of campus and Grote-Thompson Hall (where Craft students live) and end the visit with a Star Theater show at the Space Science Center! SMS students win "Outstanding Team Spirit" award SMS

Congratulations to Mrs.  Lustenberg, Ms. Beaupre and all of the students involved in producing the manufacturing video PSA with Safran Landing.  They received the “Outstanding Team Spirit” award during the awards ceremony last night at NKU

2016-17 Transportation Weather Plan weather plan

The district's "Weather Plan" may be put into effect when the majority of the county roads are open and a few of the more isolated roads are still deemed unsafe for bus travel. Pendleton County Schools Maintains Proficient Ranking Proficient District

In a video statement to staff on October 1, 2015, Superintendent Strong said, “During the past four years we have been focusing on what is needed to move our students forward.  Today I am happy to share that your hard work and dedication has paid off.  We are a Proficient District.”  On September 29, 2016, Superintendent Strong congratulated the district for its designation as a Proficient District for the second consecutive year.

2016-17 Opening Day Appreciation Celebration Breakfast

Opening Day Appreciation Celebration was held Thursday, August 4.   This was the 9th year for the celebration, which  brings our school personnel and our businesses, organizations, and churches together to support each other in our shared mission: to create a brighter future for our children and thus our community.  Following a delicious breakfast prepared by the food service managers, Superintendent Anthony Strong addressed the group and employees were recognized for years-of-service and model classrooms.

The Transportation Department is working diligently to organize bus routes so that students' travel times are held to a minimal.   Click here to view  2016-17 Bus Route (by road).  All revisions from the original posting will be highlighted in yellow to help you.  Parents are urged to check back occasionally for any changes or updates.  For bus routes and additional transportation information, click the Transportation tab under Student Services.
